Ben Tollerene wins huge Online Poker tournament
Ben Tollerene who is a famous Online Poker player has just made a huge score. Back in 2013 he won the $21,000 World Championships of Online Poker (WCOOP) Heads-Up High Roller after he beat Dan “MrGR33N13” Colman in the final for a first place prize of $200,401. Now he managed to triple that score.
Recently history was made when a $51,000 WCOOP Event was held (8-Max Super High Roller). This is the largest ever online tournament buy-in. It attracted a total of 46 participants, and Tollerene managed to outlast all of them and win the huge prize of $616,518.
This was a sonic boom of an event and was held three-quarters of the way through the 70-event schedule. $51,000 is a lot of money but it seems that it means nothing to poker players because only 23 of the 46 players took their seats in time to play the first hand. In fact it took around four hours before all the 46 entrants had settled down in front of their computers or laptops. Among these latecomers was Mike “Timex” McDonalds, but this didn’t break his stride as he managed to finish as the chip leaders, with only eight players remaining.
Out of these 8 only six would get to divide the $2.3 million pie. That means that two of them would have to get nothing and probably shed a tear or two. A few hours later and Tollerene finally managed to win this exciting event and receive the huge first prize.
